SWB NZ combines local knowledge with global technology

SWB NZ supplies bearings and power transmission solutions to New Zealand industry, supported by an experienced local team and a nationwide support network. Backed by its manufacturers’ engineering resources, the company combines practical expertise with proven products to deliver reliable, real-world solutions.

“Our approach is hands-on and collaborative, and that is what has positioned SWB NZ as a leading supplier in this space,” says Cameron Caesar, NZ operations manager for SWB NZ. “We work closely with customers and suppliers to understand each application and provide the most effective solution, balancing performance, availability, cost, and timing to suit New Zealand operating conditions.”

Beyond product supply, SWB NZ provides technical support and advice across a wide range of applications. Its strength lies in the procurement, supply, and ongoing support of bearing and power transmission systems, with a focus on delivering practical, on-site solutions rather than desktop recommendations.

“Our solutions are built on decades of experience across a wide range of New Zealand industries, the depth of knowledge within our local teams, strong supplier partnerships, and the adoption of new products and technologies,” says Caesar.

“We continually reinvest in our people, training, and local stockholding to ensure high availability, fast response times, and consistently high service standards.”

With the team’s combined 100-plus-years of industry experience, Caesar explains that SWB NZ is quickly establishing a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and service.

“Ongoing growth has been driven by long-term customer relationships and word-of-mouth referrals, reflecting the trust placed in the company by customers throughout New Zealand.”

SWB NZ has also recently introduced a new brand to its spherical roller bearing unit range, adding another quality product to the company’s comprehensive offering.

“COC is from Japan and is one of the global leaders in quality spherical roller bearing units, used worldwide,” says Caesar. “With their innovative new designs, COC units are well suited to tough New Zealand conditions, including applications subject to heavy vibration and shock loads.”

Key design features include:

• Patented CrossLoc adapter mount system, providing 360° contact along the length of the sleeve for maximum grip force

• Triple-lip contact seal allowing up to ±2° of misalignment

• Stainless steel flinger

• Heavy-duty one-piece cast-iron housings with solid foot design

• Dimples for dowel-pin drilling

• Collar-mount set screws with nylon patch at 90°, providing high holding power.

Each COC unit is supplied with a QR code that can be scanned using a mobile phone, providing access to dimensions, installation instructions and videos, maintenance information, and the serial number required for warranty reference. The range includes CS2P set-screw collar-lock spherical roller bearing units with two-bolt pillow block housings.
