Farnese NZ…

Delivery on machinery from the sale to the service

For Farnese NZ Ltd, recent years of operation has meant much positive change.

The company manufactures, sells and services all manner of machinery for woodworking, stone, granite, marble, aluminium and plastic applications and the recent merging with Farnese Australia has opened greater opportunities within manufacturing.

Farnese NZ’s general manager, Rob Hutchings, says that it has also given customers more customisation, built to spec machinery and better pricing within a complete sales to service setting.

“Farnese offers New Zealand customers a range of product, installed and serviced by New Zealanders for New Zealanders,” says Hutchings. “And we know that support is also very important to customers – buying a new machine is a big commitment for anyone, and continued support throughout the life of that machine is vital.

“We carry a vast array of parts here in New Zealand to ensure that your machine always has the spares it needs. It’s important for us that our clients have peace of mind knowing that they will be fully supported by Farnese and we’ll always have them covered.”

Farnese NZ – formerly Proform – was founded in 1988. Its early days focused on the design and manufacture of a limited range of post-formers for the domestic and Australian markets.

Both product ranges and markets have expanded, and Farnese now supplies post-formers, CNC routers, edgebanders, presses, wrapping machines, stone processing machinery and more to Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, The Pacific islands, Philippines, Singapore and Sri Lanka. The Australian operation was set up in 2000.

Hutchings says Farnese manufactures an efficient, cost effective, CNC nesting range of machinery. CNC routers are “ideally suited to the New Zealand market both in quality and price”.

The range is comprehensive, from a smaller single spindle 1300mm x 2500mm CNC router that is ideal for the smaller workshop, to the large tool changing 2100mm x 11000mm CNC machines – 3 ,4 and 5-axis CNC routers for the greater demanding factory.

Farnese is also the local kiwi agent for Fravol edgebanders, Orma presses, Fimal table saws, and Masterwood CNC machinery.

On both sides of the Tasman, Farnese represents EDDA packing machinery; described as an easy to use and high-quality wrapping machine for all types of packing and wrapping.

But the machinery is just one facet of the service and offering. Having the experience it takes to design, install and maintain equipment is always a priority.

“Farnese customers don’t need to experience unnecessary machinery downtime waiting for

remote assistance from other countries, as all the support and remote assistance is provided

locally in New Zealand from our own qualified technicians,” says Hutchings.

“Our mission here at Farnese is to give you the best support. As we grow, we continue

to recruit more and more qualified technicians, to further strengthen our position in the

industry.”

Hutchings describes Farnese Australia as a designer and manufacturer of stone cutting and polishing machinery, from a company that “dominates the field” due to precision and innovation.

“With an international reputation and decades of combined professional experience, and expertise, in both the stone industry and the local stone machinery manufacturing industry, Farnese are the first choice for stone fabricators in Australia and New Zealand.”
