Rebrand… solid foundation for leap into future

A “trusted name in New Zealand’s machine tool sector” is using its existing reputation to propel it into an exciting future.

“For nearly half a century Leabourn & Rose has delivered high-quality machine tools, expert guidance and unparalleled after-sales support,” says Andrew Leabourn, managing director of the company since 2012.

And that’s not changing, he says, but as the second generation of the Leabourn family takes the reins the company is pivoting to a bold new identity that reflects its expanded expertise, strong commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology, and alignment with the needs of clients in an increasingly competitive and highly technical market.

Andrew is now the sole director of rebranded LERO Innovation Ltd.

Proud of the legacy of his father, he’s also excited to continue Kevin’s commitment to ensuring the business continually evolves: “It’s more than a name change. It’s where we are headed”.

“This is a strategic evolution that aligns us with modern manufacturing and while we continue to provide top-tier machine tools and the services that our clients trust, we are broadening our focus to include automation, consultancy, integration and maintenance.”

Expanded expertise that helps business thrive

Advanced technologies increase profitability, efficiency and streamline production, but also require advanced support. LERO Innovation’s partnership with customers means it can remain globally competitive, address labour shortages, streamline production and enhance workplace safety.

The in-house expertise now goes beyond just supplying the machines.

Installation, seamless integration of automation into existing workflows and training to maximise efficiency are all part of the new-look LERO Innovation that Andrew is excited to offer clients.

“Additionally, our preventative maintenance programmes and comprehensive technical support is available both online and on-site to ensure our clients’ operations run smoothly and without interruption.

“Smarter. More efficient. Sustainable,” he says. For Andrew, they are not just buzz words but essential strategies to stay ahead.

Agility and excellence are key

Andrew says the company has consistently been at the forefront of the industry, since its establishment in 1978. This is the next chapter in its continuous evolution, and it comes at a time when it has never been more important for businesses to be agile and forward-thinking.

“From your everyday machine tools, robotics and automated production lines to smart manufacturing strategies, our mission is to empower clients with future-ready solutions.

“While our name has changed, our dedication to quality, reliability, and exceptional service remains the same.

“We are pushing the boundaries of innovation while staying true to our legacy of excellence. My team and I are looking forward to embarking on this new chapter with you.”
