Engel, a global player in the production of injection moulding machines and automation, has received EcoVadis ‘Platinum’ status; a rating given to companies that demonstrate strong sustainability performance.
With 130,000 companies evaluated globally, distributor Techspan Trading (NZ) Limited says the award is reward for an “unwavering commitment to climate protection and sustainability and a proven track record of successful initiatives across Engel locations and solutions”.
In fact, Techspan’s marketing director Tim Fastnedge says it even goes beyond that: “Sustainability in the plastics industry is paramount. It’s about being stronger together for a sustainable future.”
He says that Engel walks the path to a greener future with its customers. The company has been developing solutions for sustainable plastics processing for more than 15 years and sustainability is a fundamental pillar of entrepreneurial activity for Engel.
