On May 28-29, Christchurch’s Wolfbrook Arena will host SouthMach 2025, providing industry professionals what show organiser XPO Exhibitions says will be an unforgettable experience filled with cutting-edge tech, groundbreaking solutions, and invaluable industry connections.
“Held just once every two years, and after the incredible success of 2023, SouthMach is set to once again highlight the exciting opportunities for New Zealand’s manufacturing sector,” says Jack Heslin, sales and event manager of XPO Exhibitions. “We’re not just showcasing products; we’re unveiling the future of the industry.”
Heslin says SouthMach 2025 is more than just a trade event and, “a catalyst for progress” where visitors will see the very latest advancements shaping the next generation of manufacturing; from advanced automation, AI, and robotics to sustainable practices and Industry 4.0 integration.
With the largest floorplan in over a decade, the show will host more than 100 exhibiting suppliers, including 49 exhibitors that are new to the show.

“Not to mention the announcement winners of the inaugural Minister for Manufacturing Awards – a celebration and recognition of excellence in the manufacturing industry – will be announced at SouthMach 2025,” with the Hon Chris Penk, Minister for Manufacturing onsite to officiate the awards ceremony.”
Featured exhibitors include Scott Machinery, Syntech, Caliber Design, FI Innovations, Vortex Engineering and Marvle 3D and visitors will be able to engage with them and many more as well as industry leaders through expert-led seminars and workshops.

Then there’s the Make – NZ Industry Conference, where you’ll gain practical insights from frontline experts, focusing on real-world results and tangible strategies,” says Heslin. The ASB Manufacturers Workshop, in partnership with EMA, will explore the potential of digitisation and automation to boost productivity and streamline operations.
“Witness the ‘Nautech Smart Factory Showcase’, a practical example of Industry 4.0 in action.” Additionally, the Advancing Manufacturing Aotearoa (AMA) Showcase will feature live demonstrations and interactive displays highlighting the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and showing how these innovations can be applied to real-world scenarios.
