THE LERO LASER RANGE: ‘PRECISION FOR NEW ZEALAND MANUFACTURERS’

Lero Innovation has unveiled its most ambitious release yet.

“I am proud to introduce the Lero Laser range,” says director Andrew Leabourn. “We are helping to shape the future of cutting and fabrication technology in New Zealand. The Lero Laser range delivers a complete suite of advanced solutions designed to strengthen the future of local manufacturing.”

The new lineup showcases the company’s commitment to precision engineering and innovation.

“Our flat bed fibre laser cutters are built for speed, accuracy, and versatility. With a variety of sizes and power options, they can handle everything from full-scale manufacturing to general workshop and smaller production needs,” Leabourn says.

“Our tube fibre laser cutters are engineered for complex geometries and profiles, capable of cutting round, square, and custom-shaped tubes with consistent accuracy and repeatability.”

Lero Innovation also offers laser automation systems that integrate seamlessly into production workflows, from loading and unloading to intelligent handling and smart storage, helping businesses optimise every stage of their process.

In addition, its laser welding machines provide a modern, efficient alternative to traditional welding methods, while laser cleaning machines deliver an eco-friendly, chemical-free way to remove rust, paint, oil, and other contaminants.

Beyond technology, Lero Innovation has designed its laser range specifically with New Zealand manufacturers in mind.

Meeting local requirements

“At Lero Innovation, we understand that New Zealand manufacturers operate in a unique environment, often needing machinery that is versatile, reliable, and cost-effective,” says Leabourn. “That is why every Lero Laser has been carefully hand-selected and specified to meet the exacting requirements of local businesses. Each model incorporates premium components to ensure uncompromising reliability and performance.”

The flat bed and tube cutting ranges are based on a proven foundation and integrate global component leaders. Beckhoff controllers from Germany deliver precision automation with ultra-fast EtherCAT and PC-based control to synchronise laser, optics, and motion. Raycus laser sources ensure stable power and cutting accuracy, while QLTEK cutting heads offer patented cooling systems and dual-drawer protection for stable operation and reduced maintenance. Paired with Lantek nesting software, the systems optimise workflow, minimise waste, and maximise material use.

Support that keeps production moving

Leabourn says: “Downtime is one of the costliest challenges for manufacturers, and we have built our service model around minimising it.”

The company holds local stock of critical components, including cutting heads and laser sources for 3kW, 6kW, and 12kW models. A loan-out service ensures production continues while units are repaired or replaced.

“When you invest in Lero Laser, you don’t just get technology,” he says. “You gain the confidence that comes from having a dedicated local partner committed to keeping your business moving.”

Ready for the future

Leabourn adds, “With nearly half a century of experience, Lero Innovation combines cutting-edge engineering with a long-standing tradition of integrity, knowledge, and support. Our Lero Laser range represents more than machinery, it is a promise of reliability, performance, and partnership. We are ready to support New Zealand manufacturers in meeting today’s demands and tomorrow’s opportunities.”
