Jungheinrich has launched its value-focused material handling brand, AntOn by Jungheinrich, across Asia-Pacific, positioning the range for businesses seeking straightforward and cost-effective solutions for everyday operations.
According to the company, AntOn by Jungheinrich is designed to deliver reliability supported by German safety standards and testing expertise. Across the region, sustainability programmes and fleet modernisation initiatives are accelerating the shift toward electrified material handling equipment, reinforcing demand for lithium-ion solutions that balance performance, efficiency and total cost of ownership.
The initial AntOn portfolio includes CBH 2.0, CBM 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 tonne electric forklift trucks. These models offer rated load capacities of 2,000kg, 2,500kg, 3,000kg and 3,500kg, travel speeds of up to 17km/h, and lithium-ion batteries designed to support rapid charging, extended operation, long service life and reduced maintenance requirements. The company says the portfolio is set to expand towards a full product range in the future.
Jungheinrich confirmed that in New Zealand the AntOn offering currently comprises the lift truck model only, with pallet equipment not part of the local rollout at this stage.
The launch reflects growth in the Asia-Pacific material handling value segment, which is projected to expand at 8.1% by 2030. This growth is being driven by accelerating industrialisation, logistics expansion and construction activity across India and Southeast Asia, alongside ongoing diversification of regional supply chains, including New Zealand.
In New Zealand, growth in logistics, warehousing and infrastructure is contributing to demand for cost-effective and reliable material handling equipment. Rising operating costs and ESG expectations are accelerating the shift away from internal combustion forklifts toward electric alternatives, with lithium-ion technology increasingly adopted for its total cost of ownership profile, charging characteristics and suitability for multi-shift operations.
“The AntOn by Jungheinrich brand is a new product line combining ease of use, reliability and cost-effectiveness,” says Nadine Despineux, member of the Board of Management, sales at Jungheinrich. “We are specifically targeting companies that are looking for cost-effective and straightforward solutions for typical warehouse and transport requirements.”
Following a successful European debut with strong sales, AntOn by Jungheinrich is now available across Asia-Pacific markets. The company says the brand is supported through multi-channel sales, including e-commerce, direct sales and selected partners and distributors.
“With more than 70 years of material handling expertise, Jungheinrich delivers end-to-end solutions supported by an established parts and service network across Asia-Pacific,” says Manojit Acharya, vice president, Jungheinrich APAC. “AntOn by Jungheinrich extends our offering to customers for whom reliability, simplicity and value matter most, delivering cost-effective solutions that get the job done.”
He adds, “To extend this value beyond our current sales channels, we are inviting distributors to join the AntOn by Jungheinrich partner network, supported by strong regional parts availability, dedicated distributor management and best-in-class partner relationship tools.”
The company says the launch reinforces Jungheinrich’s commitment to making material handling solutions accessible to a broader range of businesses across Asia-Pacific, in line with its Strategy 2030+ vision.
