Camfil DUST collectors ensure cleaner air’ across industrial operations

Camfil dust collection systems are designed to manage industrial emissions across manufacturing environments, with applications ranging from general dust control through to more specialised fume and mist extraction.

John Brock, general manager of Camfil New Zealand, says effective dust control plays a direct role in both workplace safety and operational performance.

“Our systems are designed to tackle harmful dust, fumes and mist generated during manufacturing processes, ensuring cleaner air and safer workplaces,” Brock says.

Camfil’s range includes dust, fume and mist collectors configured for different industrial requirements. The Gold Series X-Flo system uses a modular design, allowing multiple configurations depending on site layout and process demands, while incorporating filtration technology to capture airborne particles.

The systems are designed with energy performance and safety in mind, including ATEX-certified explosion protection and filter designs intended to support consistent operation.

For centralised cleaning applications, the Gold Series High Vacuum dust collectors are used to maintain controlled and hygienic environments. In process-driven operations, source capture of dust can reduce maintenance requirements, limit downtime and minimise the risk of cross-contamination.

Brock says the systems can be installed as stand-alone dust collectors or adapted for bin vent applications without hoppers and support structures.

For operations involving combustible or difficult dust types, including sticky particles, Camfil’s Venturi Scrubbers provide a wet scrubbing option, designed to operate continuously while delivering high separation efficiency without requiring filter elements.

Camfil also supplies mobile extraction units and workplace systems designed to capture emissions at the source, providing flexibility across different work areas where fixed systems are not practical.

Complementing the systems, Camfil’s replacement filters are designed to maintain performance while managing energy use across applications.

“By integrating advanced technology and robust designs, these systems help meet health, safety and environmental requirements while supporting efficient industrial operations,” Brock says.
