Steel Rollformed Products (SRP) says the company has transformed its efficiency with ECI Solutions’ M1 product.
The Auckland-based manufacturer specialises in steel wall and ceiling systems, and prior to the partnership with ECI was relying on pen and paper and Excel sheets for inventory.
Rakai Kirkwood, operations supervisor says SRP faced a host of visibility problems that made growth nearly impossible. In terms of labour, production, and setup costs, everything was calculated manually and when an order came through, admin had to manually enter the order information into three different systems.
The company found M1 to digitalise and increase visibility across the shop floor. With insights available, salespeople were no longer guessing price quotes, inventory was up-to-date and available for customer enquiries, and everyone knew their roles.
“M1 has, without a doubt, helped them grow and scale the business,” says Kirkwood. “I feel like M1 was designed for manufacturers. You can see it throughout the design. You can see it through the implementation process as well.”
M1 enables SRP to see every part of production from order down to delivery.
SPR grew by 20% in 2022 and 20% in 2023, expecting similar results in 2025.
