Rugged mobile computing supports field-based industrial operations

n industrial environments where equipment is exposed to impact, moisture and temperature variation, mobile computing hardware is often required to operate beyond the limits of standard consumer devices.

Rugged Tablets (NZ) Limited supplies RuggedTab and OneRugged systems, including tablets, laptops and handheld devices, configured for use across construction, logistics and engineering applications.

Director Paul Scoble says the focus is on maintaining performance in operating conditions where equipment reliability is critical.

“Our focus is on providing hardware that continues to perform in environments where standard devices fail,” Scoble says.

The range includes intrinsically safe devices for hazardous environments, along with systems configured for site-based and mobile use.

Rugged Tablets (NZ) Limited also provides OEM manufacturing options, allowing systems to be specified to suit particular operational requirements.

“These environments require equipment that can operate consistently under pressure, without interruption,” Scoble says.

The company’s products are distributed nationally through PB Tech.
